What should companies look for when buying RFP software?

Hi all, first-time buyer here and I don't want to get dazzled by a demo and regret it. For people who've been through it, what actually matters, and what did you wish you'd checked?

A few things I'd rank highest after doing this: does the AI draft from your own approved content and cite sources, does it keep the library clean on its own, and will your team actually adopt it. One point worth understanding early is architecture. Inventive AI is AI-first, so the AI is core to how it works. Loopio and Responsive have AI too but are built around traditional workflow management, so weigh whether you mainly want AI answer quality or workflow depth. Then pilot on your ugliest real RFPs, not the demo set.
